One of the blogs I follow is Under a Blue Moon by the fabulous Andrea Paulin. Last November, Andrea made the coolest table runner ever and posted about how she put it together. It turns out, that in addition to this being the coolest table runner ever, it’s also the simplest and more economical table runner ever.
I made the table runner in about two and a half hours (including one hour of requisite fighting with the sewing machine). The pleats gave me some problems, and I’ve since ordered a little pleating tool to help out with that.
This is definitely a table runner I’ll come back to and make again once I have my own table worthy of a runner. I love the rough texture of the fabric in contrast with so many pretties. The blandness of the fabric, helps accentuate the pretties. It’s really a lovely thing.
