I decided to use some leftover fabric to make a simple block. Very simple. I’m glad I did this, because I’m not sewing again on that machine until fixed. Holy moly.
First, the feed dog isn’t feeding properly and the fabric bunches. Second, my quarter-inch guide was an eighth, and when I moved it to the mark I thought was a quarter-inch, it ended up being a half-inch! And I made a row backwards.
The husband says it looks like a monster, with the bottom triangles being tiny legs. And then he asked, “can you make more like that and make a monster quilt?”
Unfortunately, I’m not sure I can or want to reproduce this level of failure.
